Swisscom migriert seine gesamten Mainframe-Workloads auf einen Software Defined Mainframe in der Cloud.

Der schweizerische Telekommunikations- und IT-Dienstleister Swisscom hat seine gesamten Mainframe-Workloads in die Cloud migriert. Diese Workloads laufen ab sofort auf dem LzLabs Software Defined Mainframe (SDM). Das haben LzLabs und Swisscom bekannt gegeben. Für Swisscom bedeutet die Migration einen Meilenstein in der Unternehmens-IT: Die geschäftskritischen Legacy-Mainframe-Anwendungen und -Daten befinden sich nun in der eigenen Enterprise-Cloud-Infrastruktur – ohne dass zuvor Daten neu formatiert oder Programmcode neu kompiliert werden mussten.
