Agile Test Environment

Your organization need no longer be held back by the constraints of testing on legacy systems. Using LzLabs Software Defined Mainframe® (LzSDM®) as a test environment, applications can be tested on Linux, without recompilation or data changes, and deployed into any environment you choose. This approach significantly enhances speed, accuracy and integration with applications off-mainframe, whilst reducing cost.

Download the Use Case

Greater Agility

Long deployment cycles are a thing of the past. LzSDM environments are available rapidly and ready for use with the help of standard virtualization and container technologies. Mainframe applications can be tested instantly and redeployed either on the mainframe or on LzSDM.

Higher Interoperability

Using LzSDM, full and integrated testing capability is available between the mainframe and distributed applications, and manageable using standard x86/Linux and DevOps standards.

Full Automation

Test and deploy mainframe applications at scale utilising DevOps toolchains, without manual intervention.

Reduced Testing Failure image

Reduced Testing Failure

Risks of incorrect program or calculation flow are removed, as customer load modules are transferred as-is to LzSDM. Source code and business logic remain unchanged in contrast to classic rehosting approaches (e.g., rewrite, recompile).

Greater Consistency

Without recompilation, application environments can be replicated consistently, including data, ensuring test accuracy on both Linux and the mainframe.

Full Reusability image

Full Reusability

Adoption of identical load modules makes it possible to continue using existing test cases and even automated comparisons.

Increased Quality

Improve the quality of your applications through faster and more frequent testing, delivered autonomously.

Reduced Cost

New partitions can be created with no increase in mainframe consumption, whilst reducing IT resource challenges due to full automation and integration.
