LzLabs Launches Software Defined Mainframe (ComputerWorld)

“Despite the widespread desire to release mainframe applications to improve interoperability, business agility, and reduce costs, the risk and complexity of rewriting or recompiling the code are considered too high by many customers,” says Thilo Rockmann, president of LzLabs.

“What is needed is a simple solution that enables code and data applications to run unchanged in a modern setting. LzLabs has worked for five years to build exactly this solution, the software-defined mainframe.”

LzLabs presented their solution during CeBIT 2016. The software-defined mainframe allows customers to move their legacy applications and data services to the cloud or Linux.
