LzLabs Introduces Software Defined Mainframe (ADMIN Magazine)

LzLabs presented at CeBIT their software designed to simplify the migration of legacy applications to the cloud or on Linux. The software emulates the essential components of a classic mainframe on a Linux system or a cloud environment. Programs written in COBOL or PL/I can run without recompilation on the LzLabs system.
LzLabs works with Red Hat to help customers migrate to Red Hat Enterprise Linux support. Jim Totton, vice president and general manager, Platforms Business Unit, Red Hat said, “LzLabs is opening the door for mainframe customers to pursue platform modernizations and implement digital transformation.”
